A Preston-based trainee accountant has moved one step closer to full qualification as a Chartered Accountant, having passed a key professional exam.
Lucy Birchall, a trainee accountant at Rotherham Taylor Limited, passed the Audit and Assurance exam as part of her work towards becoming an ACA qualified Chartered Accountant.
She now has three exams remaining before she becomes part qualified, which she hopes to achieve by December 2017. She will then move on to the advanced stage of her training – the final stage before full qualification.
Lucy said: “I am delighted to have passed this exam and to be progressing with my studies. Since I started at Rotherham Taylor Limited, I have benefited from the high levels of support the firm provides for its trainees and I am grateful for the all the guidance and encouragement I have received.”
Rebecca Bradshaw, a Director at Rotherham Taylor Limited, said: “We are very pleased with Lucy’s progress with her ACA qualification to date. Our clients already value her input and this input is only set to increase as she continues her training.”
Lucy joined Rotherham Taylor Limited in 2013, completing her Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification in 2016, before embarking on her studies towards the ACA qualification.
