The County Group opens brand new branch in Preston

One of the largest insurance brokers in the North West have moved into Winkley Square within the financial district of Preston, currently part of the £4m refurbishment project.

The County Group have moved into Winckley Square, in the heart of Preston’s financial district.

The County Group currently has 22 branches in the North West and Wales and employs 250 people, securing over £60m worth of personal and business insurance premiums for their clients in 2016.

The deputy CEO of the group, Alastair Christopherson, is a lifelong Preston resident and the company already has strong local links with Preston Grasshoppers, being one of the principal sponsors and also insuring the whole club.

Other major clients of The County Group in the Preston area include Ribble Farm Fare and Harrison Drury Solicitors.

Retail Branch Director Andy Roden explains the rationale for the new branch in Preston, “We have long earmarked Preston as the ideal location for our expanding branch network. Preston is a thriving city, with a growing metropolitan area and excellent communication links. Businesses are generally thriving in the area and we see business growth and economic expansion in the region. The County Group would like to be part of this”.

“We are already well connected with Preston Grasshoppers, not only on the sporting side but the business network that the general manager is cultivating there”.

“County ourselves are a growing insurance broker with our heartland in the North West, so Preston seemed the natural location for our new branch. Winkley Square is the perfect location with it being so central and close to estate agents, accountants, banks and other financial services.”

We have other branches in Liverpool and Southport, as well as in West Yorkshire and further south down in Cheshire, North Wales and Staffordshire so with our knowledge of Preston it seemed the logical next step.”

“We would like to support businesses large and small in the Preston region, advising on their ever changing insurance requirements as they hopefully expand their products and services, employees, vehicles and premises.”

“With our preferential and exclusive insurance schemes as a UK Top 50 Broker, I’m confident we will provide competitive rates both for individual policies such as home and car insurance, through to commercial insurance for sole traders through to large organisations”.

“I’m really excited to be opening a branch in Preston and our team here are ready for business from the 1st February onwards.”
