Strong partnership working is ensuring that the AFC Fylde Community Foundation continues to build on its success in supporting local people.

Strong partnership working is ensuring that the AFC Fylde Community Foundation continues to build on its success in supporting local people.

A collaboration with the Frank Whittle Partnership (FWP) Group means the Foundation is able to strengthen its delivery of projects such as the popular half-term sports camps provided across the Fylde coast as well as further afield.

Dozens of local youngsters attend the sports camps taking part in sports and physical activities.

The FWP Group is a Lancashire based architecture business. At the Foundation’s recent annual Children’s Christmas party, Managing Partner, David Robinson was invited to come along and see first-hand the important role the Foundation plays in meeting the diverse needs of the local community.

During the visit, David was able to see for himself the value of the Foundation’s work with local children and the importance that support from businesses such as his is to the future delivery of programmes. The Christmas Party is a major event in the Foundation’s calendar and, as David was able to witness, a fun-packed day for all those youngsters who attend.

Foundation Director Tom Hutton strongly believes that collaboratively working with the FWP Group is of vital Importance to the work of the Foundation. He said; “Our relationship with David Robinson and the FWP group is hugely important to us. We all greatly appreciate that David and his organisation can see the true value of what we are trying to achieve within the community and are honoured that he believes in us enough to want to support the work we are doing. It was great that he was able to attend our Christmas Party and see some of the team in action. ”
