A conveyancer at Morecambe-based Birchall Blackburn Law is celebrating after achieving licensed status.
Rose Metcalfe, 24, from Heysham, has completed a qualification under the Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC) programme.
The Lancaster University graduate joined Birchall Blackburn Law in 2013 as a conveyancing assistant and has since completed seven CLC modules over a three-year period, involving coursework and exams.
As a licensed conveyancer, Rose will specialise in the legalities surrounding buying and selling property and has the same legal authority as a solicitor in a conveyancing transaction.
She said: “I’m really pleased to have achieved licensed status. There is a lot more to conveyancing than just buying and selling houses. As experts we give added value to clients, guiding them through every step of the conveyancing process.”
Hayley Carter-Steele, conveyancing team leader at Birchall Blackburn Law’s Morecambe office, said: “We’re very proud of Rose and her achievements, she has worked hard and deserves every success in the future.
“As a firm, we are committed to developing our people from the moment they walk through the door and throughout their career.”
