Lancashire based company recognised as a top 20 Fastest Growing Foodservice Operator in the UK

Mellors Catering Services has topped a list of the top 20 fastest growing foodservice operators in the UK. The family-run contract caterer is a brand new entry in the 2016 report, going straight in at number 2 with a growth rate of 47.1%.

The report, compiled by AlixPartners and EP now in its fourth year, assesses foodservice providers on their profits and accounts, measuring growth rate over a period of three years. Created and owned by Managing Director Mark Timmerman, contract caterer Mellors Catering Services has seen its number of catering units grow by 70% to just below 200 in the last 24 months.

Tony Trainor, chief operating officer said: "Our growth has been a result of a well-executed plan with our customers at the centre of everything we do. A focussed approach to innovation, customer service and added value activity across the estate has certainly assisted this growth.

“Internally, we have been building the infrastructure to allow further business growth, launching new training initiatives for our teams as well as ensuring that we have all the support in place to sustain the level of customer and client service excellence we pride ourselves against.”
